Port Coquitlam Daycare Society - providing high quality child care programs in Port Coquitlam, and preschool programs in Port Coquitlam & Maple Ridge.

The Port Coquitlam Daycare Society was established on May 5, 1975 to provide child care services for families in Port Coquitlam and the surrounding communities. The Port Coquitlam Children's Centre and the Port Coquitlam Infant/Toddler Daycare are located in the Meridian Village Housing Complex. We also operate Ridge Meadows Preschool which is located in the Haney Presbyterian Church in Maple Ridge. We are grateful to Metro Vancouver and the Haney Presbyterian Church for offering the space.

All facilities are operated by a non profit, charitable organization registered under the B.C. Societies Act as The Port Coquitlam Daycare Society.

Our Philosophy
 
We believe that play is the essence of our program.  Through play, children learn to take appropriate risks and accept challenges, while interacting with the environment in a safe manner.  We encourage and support children's natural curiosity.  We believe in the importance of understanding, accepting and empowering all children.  We encourage the development of a healthy self-awareness and value inclusiveness, multiculturalism and respect for others.  We believe in the partnership between families and caregivers.
