To all families

In regards to the recent update please be advised that The Ministry of Health and the Office of the Public Health Officer are currently updating guidelines for the safe operation of child care facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic. These guidelines will be available in the near future which will guide us in the safe operation of expanding our capacity.  Please contact pcdcs@shaw.ca if you plan to return to work before the end of May or if you need further information.  We ask that you do not phone the centre as we have minimal staff on site who are working directly with the children and cannot answer questions related to this issue.

Thanks

Dear Families

We hope everyone is doing well in this very uncertain time.  Currently, we are waiting for the government prescribed health protocols being developed to ensure we can safely care for children, families, and staff.  At that time we will be able to care for a limited number of children of essential service workers.  If you are an essential service worker, please contact pcdcs@shaw.ca for updates.

Preschool Families - Because we are unsure if we will reopen the school to finish this term, we will be refunding deposits.  If we do reopen during this term,  we will collect fees at that time.  We will be mailing out cheques in the next week.

Again, to families who have emailed with kind words of support, and are continuing to donate their credit of March fees to the staff who work with the children,  THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!

There has been some concerns expressed in regards to if the society will be in a financial position to reopen again.  Be assurred the society will reopen and you will have the care you received before we closed.

Take care everyone,

Judy

March 21, 2020

To all the families who have contacted me to generously offer the credit of March fees to the centre and staff, THANK YOU!!!!  The society will ensure the front line workers receive this.

COVID19

Dear Families

At this time we are remaining closed due to the covid19 outbreak.  If we are called upon to provide spaces for essential service workers, and there are protocols put in place to ensure the safety of staff, children and families, we will provide care.  If you are a family that provides essential services and would need care, please contact me at pcdcs@shaw.ca for updates.

In regards to fees, as the staff continued to clean and prepare the building for a close down right up until March 20th, we will be crediting all parent fees paid from March 23rd  - 31st to your account for when we reopen.  Please do not remit fees for April at this time.

Be safe and take care of yourselves, your family and your community.

Judy, Viki, staff, and the board of directors

Our Philosophy

We believe that play is the essence of our program.  Through play, children learn to take appropriate risks and accept challenges, while interacting with the environment in a safe manner.  We encourage and support children's natural curiosity.  We believe in the importance of understanding, accepting and empowering all children.  We encourage the development of a healthy self-awareness and value inclusiveness, multiculturalism and respect for others.  We believe in the partnership between families and caregivers.
